What is the difference between ICW hard armor plate and STA hard armor plate?
A2: ICW stands for 'in conjunction with', meaning the ICW plate must be used together with a bulletproof vest. Alone, it cannot provide the desired protection but, when combined with a IIIA ballistic vest, it offers optimal protection. While some fragments may penetrate the ICW plate, they can be easily stopped by the vest. Many vests come with a front pocket specifically designed for the ICW plate. On the other hand, STA stands for 'stand-alone', indicating that the STA plate can be used independently, making it ideal for tactical operations where a vest might be too cumbersome. STA plates are inherently heavier and thicker to offer maximum protection without the need for a vest.
